Time To Celebrate !!

I have managed to achieve something that I have always wanted to. This is a time to celebrate! I genuinely cannot put into words how ecstatic I am about the things that are coming up for me and my family in the next year.

As you already know if you read this blog post: I Wrote A Book. The title is fairly self explanatory...but I wrote a book. It's a book idea I've had marinating in my noggin for several years, but I finally took the time to actually write it. Don't worry. The quality of my fiction writing is much better than the quality of my blog posts. I at least like to think that it's much better than the quality of my blog posts.

I originally thought that it was a book that I was eventually going to have to self-publish. I always wanted to get a publisher to publish it. A publisher publishing one of my books has always been the dream. I didn't really think that was in the cards for this book. This is a very niche topic book, and I honestly didn't really think that anyone would see the market for it. As much as I wanted them to...I didn't think that they would.

I even started putting together a crowd funding campaign with goals to raise the money for editing and cover art to self-publish. I was so convinced that's what I was going to have to do.

Then I found Win's Books Publishing (https://www.winsbookspublishing.com/). They accept unsolicited submissions, and seem like a REALLY COOL publishing company...so I decided to take a stab at it. So I submitted my novel after 3 rounds of personal edits. Then after 3 weeks of waiting I realized that my genius self had failed to include my contact information on the cover page as I was supposed to.

So...I submitted again. AND the process of submitting again put me back at the end of the line. Then I waited another 8 weeks before I eventually ended up hearing from them. 8 weeks is a perfectly acceptable amount of time to wait by the way as they receive a LOT of submissions. By the time I received a response I was pretty much checking my email every single hour. I'm not joking. It was pretty much every single hour.

"Congratulations!!! You've been accepted."

Those were the words that popped up in my email notification. I'm nearly crying just thinking about it. I'm so ridiculously excited. I've already talked to them several times. We're starting to get things planned, and I cannot wait to take you all along for the journey.

We've got about a one year process from now until the book is actually printed. I'm not going to go too much into that process as we've got more than enough time to talk about that over the next year.

I just wanted to let you know that I'M GOING TO HAVE A PUBLISHING COMPANY PUBLISHED BOOK!!! I'm going to have an author website. We're going to put together a street team. ARCs will be sent out at some point. A pre-order campaign will be done at some point. There's so much coming on the horizon and I don't think it could be possible for me to be any more physically or emotionally excited that I am right now.
