An Other Worldly Letter
*** This is a POV post where a real person or a fictional character "writes a letter to Tom." ***
I received a very interesting letter today. Anyone that has been reading my posts for any extended period of time knows that I think none of this is real. I think you're all brain creations presented to me in my little subconscious world. This letter...it stretches even what my brain would normally conjure up for me. I'm talking too much though. I'll include the letter and then I'll address the contents.
Here for your reading pleasure, a letter from our new brain friend named Eden:
It was written on obnoxiously pink stationary by the way. She didn't even email it. She physically mailed it. I have no clue how she got my address.
"Hi Tom!
I came across your blog while surfing the holonet and I thought we would be great friends! I have to hurry up and write this before Dusk gets back with the relay distributor. Leans in and “Whispers” very loudly I know you don’t know what that is, but trust me. It’s super scientific and complicated and honestly I need a nap just from looking at it.) But nobody listens to me anyway I keep telling him MY WINGS ARE FOR AESTHETICS NOT LABOR!
Anywho! I hope you have a fantabulous day AND WATCH OUT FOR TROLLS! ….wait do you have trolls?
Probably not.
Well… maybe?

Ok...Edes. Reminds me of the way they called Phoebe from that show Friends Feebs or however you would phonetically spell that. There's a lot to unpack here, and I'm not really sure where to start. Wings? Are you saying that you have wings? Can you fly? Listen. I've never been much of a person to read fantasy books or watch fantasty movies so I genuinely have no idea which one of the furthest recesses of my brain you crawled out of. Sorry...which one of the furthest recesses of my brain you flew out of.
One thing we can both relate on is naps. I love naps.
To answer your final question, I don't know if we have trolls. Maybe? I didn't think we have creatures with wings. Yet here you are. I don't know what the holonet is. Is that like the internet. The holonet sounds like something Dirk would make up for one of his sci-fi novels. I get the feeling that you and Dirk would get along.
Anyway...thanks for writing. Hope you enjoyed your nap. I will do my best to watch out for trolls. I don't think they exist, but I'll let you know if I ever see one. Knowing my brain and how it reacts to things...I'll probably end up seeing one tomorrow. He'll probably end up working for Dirk's family as well. That would make too much sense.

Eden is a character from "Beyond the Divide" written by Shasta Kayde. She was very sweet to write this letter from the POV of Eden for us. It's a very entertaining read. You should check it out. I don't usually read Romance novels, but I really enjoyed this one. I guess it's not necessarily a Romance novel. It's a Fantasy novel. There are just very heavy Romance vibes to it.
Sorry for murdering the explanation of your book Shasta. I'm awful at explaining books, and I'm even worse with knowing what genre a book falls in. I'm even worse with my own books.
It's a book with fantasy elements, romance elements, tech elements, action, and it's all tied together so wonderfully. The world building is amazing. I felt like I was there when I was reading it. I could feel the cold in the cold parts of the world and I could sense the heat in the hot parts of the world. If you're a reader, and you probably are if you are here, then you should 127% buy this one and add it to your TBR.
