It's Dirk Time

Hahahahahah....holy shit. So. Hi! I'm Dirk Bradford. I am the author of the award winning, best selling, novel "Dirk Dashing and the 35th Universe." You're probably wondering why I'm writing this blog post instead of Tom. I myself am also wondering why I'm writing this blog post instead of Tom.

It's kind of funny when you think about it. I met Tom yesterday. Literally, the first time I ever met Tom was yesterday. We were both at the same Comic Convention, and first we met at a coffee shop. The coffee was an incredibly shitty black tar like substance by the way. It was awful. Anyway, as fate might have it, later on in the day my booth at the con ended up being right next to his.

He's a cool dude. Albeit a little weird, but he's cool. I'm sure those of you who are reading this already know that about him. Also met a very sweet young woman who is also apparently a reader of this blog. Shout out to Crim! It was an absolute please meeting you and best of luck to you in everything you do in the future.

Anyway, I guess I'm getting sidetracked from the point. After the con Tom, Crim, Fox (another person I guess I haven't talked about yet), and I went back to the shitty coffee place. I don't know why we went back. We just did. We'd basically spent the entire day talking at the con already, but I didn't have as much time to talk to the three of them as I would have liked because my booth was completely packed the entire day. I know. I know. Oh no, my wine is too sweet. My steak is too juicy. My lobster is too buttery. My old fashioned has too much bourbon in it. Blah blah blah blah blah.

One thing we had a chance to do at the coffee shop is talk a little more about ourselves. I got to learn about this blog, about why he makes a post every day, and how it ultimately lead to being the reason that he's invited to doing the comic conventions. Then he made the ultimately horrible decision of inviting me to write a guest post. Hah. What a fool right? So that's what I'm doing. That's why I'm writing this post right now.

All jokes aside, I really appreciate Tom for giving me the opportunity to do this. He's a sweet guy that seems to do his best to do good for others. Even though he doesn't think that any of us are real. Which that still kind of messes with my brain. Doesn't that mess with your brain...the idea that we're all just figments of the imagination of one man named Tom? I guess ultimately there's worse ways to exist.

I'm not going to spend the whole post shilling my stuff. I have a book. If you don't know it the title of the book is "Dirk Dashing and the 35th Universe." It's a LitRPG genre book and it was a lot of fun to write. Generally, it's very black and white with very little room for any shades of grey...none the less 50. Good guy fights bad guy. Good guy wins. Yay! Everyone is happy. If you would like to buy the book then you can get it from any of the normal book providers. I would be incredibly appreciative as you would be doing the oh so noble cause of helping me fund my expensive bourbon habit.

Tom, Crim, Fox, and I meet at the coffee shop every day now. None of us really drink the coffee. It's abhorrent. I'm pretty sure they have the bad guy from Fern Gully making it in the back of the building. It's always a nice time for us to meet up and just talk though. It's been a while since I've had someone that I could just talk to. It's nice.

Anyway, thanks to Tom for giving me the opportunity to write this. He's starting up a "Letters to Tom" series and I'm going to write one of those as well. So, I guess you have that to look forward to. Oh how lucky you are.

Buy my book, read Tom's blog every day, watch Fox's stream...I don't know...get your oil changed at Crim's shop?
